Some interesting updates to ASE.

Specifically:

  • Max workers is now 100
  • You can also have up to 100 app service plans
  • Use all V2 compute resources with SSDs making them much faster to startup and carry more workloads for higher app density.
  • Simplified portal to create apps and manage plans and not worry about workers (workers get spun up automatically).
  • Portal is on parity with the multi-tenant version of App Services.

Every virtual machine in Azure now supports two or more network interfaces. Information on specific numbers for different sizes can be found for Windows and Linux.

This is available in all Azure regions, including:

  • Germany Central, Germany Northeast
  • USGov Iowa, USGov Virginia, US DoD Central, UsDoD East
  • China North, China East
